    Continual scanning of diverse bodies of scientific literature for evidence applicable within police organizations.

    There are broad and deep bodies of scientific literature that currently exist that could be applied to improving police operations. For example, the evidence indicates that being awake 18 hours is the cognitive functional equivalent of a .05% BAC. We don’t allow officers to drink a 12 oz beer with lunch on duty but will require them to be awake long enough to be equally hazardous to themselves and others.
